With visions of red flowed perfectly, just liked the blood from the victims in the story. There is a strong crime element in this story and while it may seem a bit more of a crime thriller at the start of the story, things do start coming to light the more you read into the story.
This story starts in the past with the main character locked in a dark room with her thoughts and for the unknown male to return. This story is dark and does deal with some strong themes. I believe there may be more to Sadie than the author is really letting on. She has moments in the story, but nothing is really revealed about them. I'm left wanting more.
I loved how the author put in the UNSUBs' POV. This was very clever and have more insight into the mind of the person that they are trying to find. Their thoughts were so dark and yet strangely poetic.
I would have liked to have heard more of the story from Coltons' POV. Maybe in the next book we will learn more about him. Something about him is just a little off for me.
Despite all this the author has a magical way with words and I just couldn't put the book down. I was captivated and I want more. Right Now.
